Beachscape Mapping
Program
Cape Fear Chapter
of The Surfrider Foundation
November 1, 2004
Water Quality and
Environmental & Recreational Resources are critical issues
in our area. By
gathering information and mapping the elements associated with
these two (2) issues, we can build a library of detailed
information to help us protect our local coastline.
We are currently in
the process of collecting detailed information, photos, and maps
about the issues and elements listed below. Our goal is to make
all of the information available on the Internet via the Cape
Fear Chapter’s current web page.
In the next step of our Beachscape mapping efforts we
would like to take photos and collect information about each
beach access site in our area.
If you are interested in helping with this effort, please
let us know. We
can use your help.
