Surfrider and community groups such as the
Ocean City Beach Patrol, Stephen Decatur High School, Jr. Red Cross,
Chauncey's Surf Shop staff, Salisbury University's Sigma Pi fraternity,
the Annapolis Surf Club, and
Camp Odyssey and in
cleaning up
the beach. This is an OC Surfrider clean water awareness initiative. Earn

The Diamondheads
The Diamondheads
are from Baltimore, MD, and have been playing together for nearly a
decade. The band plays a blend of classic surf guitar instrumentals and
50s/60s-inspired Diamondheads surf guitar originals. The Diamondheads
are on the Single Coil record label and CDs include, "Diamondhead at
Dusk," "The Diamondheads," and contributions on several compilation
discs. The band is currently working on a yet-to-be-titled 3rd full
length CD. The Diamondheads
play mostly events and festivals, such as the Ocean City MD Surfrider
Foundation Longboard Challenge, Muzikfest, and The Jalopy Showdown.
They have shared the stage with surf music greats such as Dick Dale,
Slacktone, The Balboas, The Lava Rats & many more. Phil Dirt
(Reverb Central) has called The Diamondheads one of the premier surf bands on the East Coast. The Diamondheads have been participating in OC Surfrider Foundation events (luau, golf tournament, longboard challenge) for the past 4 years.
